Many many thanks to everyone that made it out to IOTA last week.  Our show with The Walkaways and Taylor Carson sold out pretty early last Friday.  We had a great time and truly appreciate everyone coming out.  You can catch a live video of an allstar version  of The Band song "The Weight" over on our facebook page.  The Walkaways were kind enough to invite us to join them rather late in the evening for this one.  Hope to see you next time.

We'll be opening for The Walkaways Friday Jan. 8th at IOTA Club and Cafe in Arlington, VA.  Taylor Carson will start things off at 9pm.

The Washington Area Music Association has nominated us for 2 Wammies this year.  We also received an honorable mention in the Songwriters' Association of Washington Annual Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest.
The 2 Wammy nominations are for Best Roots Rock Group and Best Roots Rock Album for The Scorpion and the Dove.

Also the title track from our album The Scorpion and the Dove recieved an honorable mention in the Gospel/Inspirational category in the annual Mid-Atlantic Songwriting contest hosted by the SAW.

Many many thanks to everyone who nominated us and everyone for supporting us this year.  We are so honored to receive some recognition for this album.  We worked really hard on it and very much appreciate the positive feedback.

Hey we'll be at IOTA Club and Cafe one more time in 2009.  The Billy Coulter Band will start the evening off at 8:30pm.  It's the 3rd Annual Rockin' Homegrown Holiday Show.  Bring your holiday cheer!!

We'll be playing at the Torpedo Factory from 5:45 -6:30 as part of the Ofrenda Art show.  We will be dressed in our finest Halloween garb.  Come check out some artwork, lots of music and even a parade around Old Town Alexandria.  Should be lots of fun.

Our song "Costa Mesa" will be featured in Episode 7 of the upcoming season of Roadtrip Nation on PBS.  Check the website for local showtimes.  The season premier is this week on October 8th.

Hey remember when we were on WRYR with Andy Och?  We played some songs live acoustic in the studio and talked to Andy back in April to promote the new album.  The recordings actually turned out to be pretty good, so we have them up now to share with you.  You can download all six live acoustic songs over the Store page.

We'll be playing a post game show at The Bullpen right outside Nationals Stadium on Sunday Sept. 27th.  We'll be playing from 4-6pm, right after the Nationals play the Braves. 

I'll be playing an acoustic set at the closing reception of the ZIP Code Show.  I'll be playing from 7-8pm.  The show, an artdc.org and Art Outlet collaborative event, is being held in partnership with Halstead Arlington and the Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization . It will take place at the Halstead Arlington, a new luxury apartment building at 1028 South Walter Reed Drive in Arlington, VA.

I'll be playing as part of "The Nine" songwriter showcase this Sunday Aug. 30th at DC9.  Come hear 9 excellent songwriters "in the round."  Read the article about the show in The Examiner.  I answer a question or two. 

We'll be at the Rockville Uncorked wine and music festival this Saturday, August 29th at 4:00pm.

I'll be playing an acoustic show at IOTA Club and Cafe in Arlington, VA on Tuesday, August 25th with my friends Laura Secker and Noah Woods. This should be a fun show. Hope you can make it. Music starts at 8:30pm.

The Jernigans have been kind enough to open up their home for a laid back solo acoustic show. I'll play an acoustic set followed by Clint and friends jamming in their home studio. We will be headed back to Charlotte to celebrate the release of the new album on Saturday June 20th.  The show will be at Prevue Music Hall on N. Davidson St. and we will be joined by our friends Cold Bait Live Beer and Love Colt.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone.  It has been far too long.
